Reitz M40 Heer Tunic 1940
Unused Wehrmacht Heer M40 tunic dated 1940, preserved without insignia. After the war the tunic entered Finnish Army depot storage, confirmed by the SA property stamp and traces of an attempted removal of the Finnish depot marking. The original manufacturer marking of the Belgian factory Reitz remains visible on the right inner lining panel, reflecting occupation-period wartime production.
The tunic is made from typical early-war feldgrau wool cloth. Buttons were carefully repositioned to enlarge the fit without damaging the fabric. Sleeve length was additionally extended by approximately 2 cm by reopening and re-folding the original cuff stitching. Although marked as size 50B, the actual fit is closer to a modern 50–52.
