Ordnungspolizei tunic of the Third Reich for the rank of Zugwachtmeister der Schutzpolizei, model 1942.
Made of coarse mid-war wool and privately tailored for the police by a civilian firm.
Unlike pre-war Waffenrock patterns, the sleeve cuffs and collar are not brown but made of the same police cloth as the rest of the tunic.
Although the shoulder boards were originally designed as removable, they are hand-sewn into the shoulder seams.
The sleeve eagle is hand-applied, while the collar tabs are machine-stitched.
This is a privately tailored tunic with a full silk lining.
Manufacturer’s marking present: Gebrüder Wenker, Schneiderei, Münster.
Approximate size: EU 50 (UK 40 / US 40).
No damage. A very scarce type of uniform.
