SS Dagger, Model 1933, late production period, circa 1938–1942. Manufactured by Ernst Pack, Solingen, marked RZM 1211/38 SS. Overall length in scabbard is 37.5 cm. The grip is made of black-stained wood. The upper section features a black enamel SS runic button, while the center of the grip bears a metal eagle emblem holding a wreath with a swastika. The guard fittings are made of zinc with nickel plating. A very small, insignificant hairline crack is present near the runic button, without affecting the structural integrity or overall appearance. The blade is straight, steel, double-edged, dagger type, with a pronounced central ridge. One side of the blade is etched with the SS motto “Meine Ehre heisst Treue”, best rendered in a literary sense as “My honor lies in loyalty”. The reverse side at the base bears the maker’s mark RZM 1211/38 SS. The blade is in excellent condition, free from corrosion or dark staining, showing only minimal marks from contact with the spring-loaded scabbard. The scabbard is steel. The black lacquer and surface show signs of period use and are covered with an even, attractive patina. The scabbard fittings have not been disassembled and remain in excellent condition. The hanger consists of a leather strap with nickel-plated metal fittings. The metal components show slight darkening in places, with zinc patina subtly visible through the nickel plating on the lower guard area. The leather hanger shows signs of use, remains in excellent condition, and is fully complete.
