SS-VT black tunic to SS-Oberscharführer Hasselwander, 1. Sturm Sturmbann "N" - Nürnberg. The tunic was never been in the collector's hands and came to the market from the family who found it hidden in the attic of an old house they bought in Munich area. The tunic is in excellent condition, the size is approximately 48-50 for a slim figure. There are no traces of the moth and it is perfectly preserved with all the insignia. Only armband is missed, but the traces of read thread at the place where it was attached are still clear visible. Collar tab with runes and letter "N" is hand-embroidered by a highly skilled specialist with aluminum thread, excellent quality, and condition. The left rank collar tab has traces of a rank upgrade. A rank tresse with a black stripe was cut out and a pip corresponding to the Scharführer rank was removed, new rank pips were installed directly through the collar. The collar tabs are piped with a black-silver cord, and the tunic's collar is also laced with a similar cord for the lower ranks of the SS-VT troops. In the center of the lining is name tag attached indicating the name and place of service of the owner: Hasselwander 1./SS - "N". Most likely this is SS-Untersturmfuhrer Bruno Hasselvander, who died in battle in Februar of 1943 in the area of Krasnograd (Russia), which is 100 kilometers from Kharkov, who fought in one of the Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler units. Sturmbann N-Nuremberg was established on the basis of personnel from the Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler and SS Standarte Deutschland in October 1936. The tunic itself is private tailored example, high-quality black wool used for the lower ranks, all the buttons on this tunic are brass made, originally sewn and marked RZM 17. On the left pocket, there is a loop for the badge. Most probably it was SA sporting achievement badge. An unique item in amazing condition and history. Don't miss!
