The Soldbuch issued to Obergefreiter of Infantry Regiment
This Soldbuch was issued to Josef Schmid born in 1921 in Vienna.
In April 1944 he was promoted to Obergefreiter rank. He started his military career in March 1942 joining training battalion of 482nd Infantry Regiment which was a part of 262nd Infantry Division.
He got wounded twice in July 1943 and November 1944. In 1943 he received a Wound badge and Infantry Assault badge and during the following 1944 year got the Iron Cross 2nd class.
Condition is salty, some damages and a couple of pages missing.
