Wehrmacht steel helmet m40, Q62 SD. 1942 issue. The helmet is in excellent condition with excellently preserved paint. There are some slight scratches due to use, the decal is also partially worn. There are absolutely no signs of rust or signs of age on the outside of the helmet. The back apron of the inside of the helmet has a scratched owner's name. The outer ring of the liner is dated 1942; Under the liner, the inside of the helmet has damage due to moisture ingress, but this is invisible from the outside. The liner is completed with the original cotton tie-down cord, as well as a leather chinstrap with R.Erhardt Poessneck 1942 branding, the chinstrap is in the softest condition, as if it had been used since yesterday
