First type, made of brass with gold plating, showing signs of use and light patina. In excellent condition.
The badge is in the shape of an oval oak leaf wreath, featuring a steel helmet with a swastika over crossed swords. The gold grade was awarded for severe wounds or injuries received in combat (typically five or more wounds).
