German propaganda leaflet for Soviet troops 664/ IV.43
Prisoner of war N.S.V., captured on March 22, 1943, stated:
"Some of my comrades received winter American overcoats. At first, they seemed thick and warm, but in reality, they tore at the seams and provided no warmth at all.
Many comrades believed that the British and Americans deliberately supplied us with poor-quality materials to prolong the war as much as possible. In their view, Russia must lose as much blood as possible and be weakened. England and America want to be the only victors."
Photographs and names of prisoners are published only with their permission.
Join us! We treat prisoners well, especially those who voluntarily come over to our side!
This pass is valid for an unlimited number of commanders and soldiers of the Red Army who cross over to the German Armed Forces, the Russian Liberation Army, or Ukrainian, Kazakh, Turkmen, and Tatar liberation units.
You can surrender without this pass—simply raise both hands and shout:
"Bayonets in the ground!"
