Allgemeine SS, EM or NCO’s black visor hat, nice quality, "Mütze nach Vorschrift", black Trikot wool made. Artificial leather (Pressstoff) chinstrap is marked on the reverse with the ink stamp RZM SS logo and the same stamp you can see on the visor. The interior of the cap is fully lined with orange/tan oil cloth to the crown and orange/tan cheesecloth to the body. The crown lining has original clear celluloid sweat diamond fully intact with SS stamp and the size 55 under it.
The hat completed with the leather sweatband with ventilation holes and underlying with a piece of newspaper. The orange foam rubber pad is missed, due the owner attached the newspaper instead of it. The sweatband is all intact and has no stitching damage, it’s marked with logo “Deutsches Leder”. Under the sweatband located black, oilcloth, SS RZM tag – "Tuchmütze für SS" with manufacturer’s numerical code – 61 and the hat’s producing number. The visor hat is in overall very good condition with just a couple of very small moth nips at the piping, and a very small, matches head size hole. Minimal age and usage traces, very hard to find hat in this shape.
