The orders of the Supreme Commander Marshal of the Soviet Union Comrade Stalin about the victories on the Kalinin, Western, Bryansk fronts and on the right flank of the Central Front, about the Guardsmen, soldiers, sergeants and officers, about the valiant fighters of the Red Army pursuing the German troops, and finally about the victories on the Southern Front, have received wide acclaim.
Guardsmen, fighters, sergeants and officers! Your victories have filled our hearts with great joy. Under the influence of these brilliant victories, the fighting spirit of our soldiers has risen even higher. With renewed strength the Red Army strikes the German-Fascist invaders.
Stalin’s orders inspire the soldiers to new feats. “Courage is the key to success!” — says one of Comrade Stalin’s orders, and everywhere the soldiers of the Red Army prove this.
In the battles for the towns of Yelnya, Spas-Demensk, Gudino, Yartsevo, units of the 5th Army, 10th Guards Army, 33rd Army (…) distinguished themselves.
