Honor and Glory to the Heroes!
Today we publish the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR awarding a group of Red Army soldiers and commanders who distinguished themselves in battles against the White Finns. They demonstrated heroism, courage, military skill, and devotion to the Motherland.
Under harsh winter conditions and facing fortified enemy positions, the soldiers and commanders showed perseverance, initiative, and high combat readiness. Among those honored are battalion and platoon commanders, political officers, artillerymen, machine gunners, pilots, and infantrymen.
The Red Army continues its successful offensive on the Karelian Isthmus. The enemy is suffering heavy losses. The people proudly greet the heroism of their sons. The names of these heroes will be inscribed in history.

on awarding the title Hero of the Soviet Union to Red Army soldiers and commanding personnel
For exemplary execution of combat tasks assigned by the command on the front in the struggle against the Finnish White Guards, and for displaying bravery and heroism, award the title Hero of the Soviet Union along with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal to:
