RKKA Chemical Protection Underhelmet, 1941
Original protective underhelmet for the RKKA (Workers' and Peasants' Red Army) chemical protection and decontamination suit, produced during the Great Patriotic War period. Made of early pre-war pea-colored trouser fabric, typical for RKKA uniforms of the 1930s, with special impregnation for chemical protection. Designed to protect the head from chemical warfare agents.
The underhelmet bears an ink factory stamp indicating the production year of 1941. It is in excellent storage condition with minor traces of long-term military storage, typical for wartime equipment. Used as a regular liner in troops
