German Seitengewehr 84/98 (SG 84/98) bayonet marked cvl 42, indicating production by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. of Solingen. The bayonet is serial numbered 3442T with matching numbered scabbard.
The bayonet fully retains its original blued finish. The upper rear section of the grip shows several small impact marks from contact with a metal object. The blade has a few very minor and barely visible edge nicks.
The cvl marking belongs to the Third Reich manufacturer code system and corresponds to Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. of Solingen.
