A Komsomol Member Must Be an Example of High Discipline and Organization
Our country is living through harsh and formidable days. In the fierce and bloody battles on the Don, in the steppe hills and at the approaches to Stalingrad, the fate of our Motherland is being decided.
The blood-soaked steppes, the stone heaps of walls, the reinforced concrete blocks of the Stalingrad factories — today they are the arena of the fiercest struggle, today they are the symbol of our strength and unbending will.
Now, the people of Stalingrad, straining all their forces, are working for the good of their city, for the good of their Motherland, so that the song of the unyielding courage of the Soviet people, who have risen with their chest to defend their country, resounds even louder.
Comrades Komsomol members, in this formidable hour it means to stand in the ranks of the Red Army and give all your strength to the defeat of the German invaders.
A Komsomol member must always be in the front ranks of fighters and commanders, a Komsomol member must be an example in everything, an example of discipline, organization, and political consciousness.
No vigilance, no alertness, no organization will be superfluous in this time.
The harsh military situation demands from us the highest discipline, great exertion of strength, and high organization.
A Komsomol member must always remember that every action of his is the action of a Red Army fighter, a warrior of Lenin.
The secretary of a Komsomol organization must himself be an example of discipline and consciousness, must be a skilled organizer, a brave fighter. A Komsomol member must be an honest and conscientious worker, a reliable person.
Komsomol member! Fight against violators of discipline, fight against idlers, fight against cowards and panic-mongers!
Lead the masses, raise them to great feats.
A Komsomol member must be an example of discipline and organization.
Strike the German Pack Harder
Death to the plunderers and the old and new enslavers of the peoples of Europe — the Hitlerite bandits!
On the Don and at Stalingrad, in the steppes and in the mountain passes, our people restrain the enemy and crush him. Fighters of the Red Army, sailors, and partisans smash the German fiends, destroy their equipment, and recapture towns and villages from them.
Every minute of the war is a minute of fierce struggle. And in this struggle the fate of our Motherland is being decided.
We, Soviet girls, will never give our land to the enemy. We will work and fight for its freedom and independence.
The German beast destroys towns and villages, burns crops, drives women and children into slavery. But we are strong, we are steadfast.
I, a Soviet girl, swear: I will avenge every drop of spilled blood, every tear of a Soviet mother.
German monsters! For everything you will pay with blood.

Another Blow to the Enemy
Today the pirates are in unusual anticipation. All enemy ships are at anchor. The ships stand tightly, side by side.
Suddenly a Soviet submarine appears. The enemy does not have time to react — and an enemy ship explodes and sinks.
Here every turn, every attack is polished, thought out, calculated.
At night the submarine overtook an enemy convoy and struck it point-blank with torpedoes. One after another the ships went to the bottom.
The submarine moves through the waves. The crew is vigorous, collected, ready for battle. Every sailor knows his duty. On the bridge stands the commander, in the compartments work the mechanics, the navigators, the torpedomen. Everything is fine-tuned, everything acts clearly and in unison.
Before the commanders stands the task: to be an example of skill, high discipline, combat organization. Only then can a combat order be fulfilled, only then can a crushing blow be delivered to the enemy.
Soviet submariners strike the enemy boldly, audaciously, destroying enemy ships and transports.
In the photo: commanders and officers of the submarine that sank five German ships — Captain-Lieutenant V. Konovalov, Senior Lieutenant A. Petrov, Navigator N. Shcherbakov.
Senior Lieutenant Dubinsky, commander of a mine-torpedo platoon, was awarded the Order of the Red Star for excellent fulfillment of combat missions.
The Motherland Demands, the Komsomol Member Carries Out
In the harsh days of the Patriotic War, when the fate of our Motherland is being decided, the Komsomol members stand in the front ranks of the fighters for the freedom and independence of the country.
The Komsomol member knows: every step, every act of his must be the step and act of a Bolshevik.
The Motherland demands from us steadfastness, discipline, heroism.
The Komsomol member answers this call with courage, loyalty, and selfless work.
We swear: to justify the trust of the Motherland, to be loyal sons of the Party of Lenin and Stalin, to fulfill our duty to the people to the end.
Bolshevik Vigilance — the Pledge of Victory
Comrades! The enemy is cunning and sly. He tries to penetrate our rear, our units, he sends in his spies and saboteurs.
Only the vigilance of every fighter, every Komsomol member can frustrate the vile designs of the enemy.
Not for a minute can one lose attention, not for a minute can one trust suspicious people.
Anyone who causes doubt, anyone who shows suspiciousness in words and deeds — must be exposed immediately.
Vigilance is a weapon that must always be kept ready.
On Komsomol Honor
Komsomol honor is loyalty to the cause of the Party, loyalty to the Motherland.
A Komsomol member must guard his honor like the apple of his eye, must not stain it by deed or word.
Honest and conscientious work, an example in battle, discipline — this is what constitutes the true honor of a Komsomol member.
Brief Notes
— On the Don, our troops repelled fierce attacks of German tanks and infantry, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.
— In Stalingrad, Komsomol builders, together with their senior comrades, are day and night fortifying the defense of the city.
— In the Baltic, our sailors sank several enemy transports.
