PRAVDA
Organ of the Central Committee and Moscow Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks)
No. 143 (9680) — Thursday, June 15, 1944 — Price: 20 kopecks
Proletarians of all countries, unite!
The Great Patriotic War has placed the highest demands on the political and moral qualities of the Soviet citizen. The education of young communists in the spirit of Lenin-Stalin Bolshevism — in courage, unwavering loyalty, discipline, and a readiness to act — has become a vital task.
Komsomol organizations, party bodies, factory and plant committees, and Red Army political departments all play a leading role in shaping the youth as fighters and builders of socialism. The newspaper praises young communist workers who have shown heroic labor feats in both the rear and at the front.
Operational Summary for June 14
On the Karelian Front, our forces — supported by artillery, aviation, and the Navy — continue their advance. Liberated population centers include:
Kangansaari

For exemplary execution of combat missions on the front lines and for demonstrating courage and heroism in battle, Comrade Pliyev is awarded the Order of Suvorov 1st Class.
(A similar decree, on the awarding of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor to Professor N. G. Chebotaryov, is also published below.)
Reports from labor collectives show widespread fulfillment and over-fulfillment of production targets, with the leading brigades exceeding quotas.
Recognition and monetary rewards have been issued to the best-performing teams.
