German MG34/42 Ammunition Case Web Carrier H-Straps Set, Mid-War, 1942
Factory-produced ammunition case carrier set composed of at least two types of mid-war webbing material in feldgrau color. All stitching is factory-applied, fully intact, and adjustable in size. The central strap is clearly stamped "HCY42", confirming production in 1942. Metal hardware is unfortunately heavily rusted, with only two spring-loaded clips functioning properly. The remaining two clips are seized and require restoration to regain mobility. Remarkably, the webbing itself shows minimal rust staining from the hardware. Included with this set is an additional long strap found together, likely also intended for carrying ammunition boxes. This item was used on the Eastern Front and was discovered on a surviving farmstead near the Tannenberg Line (Tannenbergstellung), site of fierce fighting during the Battle of Narva in 1944, Estonia
