Luftwaffe Officer Dagger 1st Model Borddolch
Luftwaffe officer dagger, 1st model, commonly referred to as the Borddolch. The blade is in excellent condition, without damage, showing only slight natural darkening. The ricasso bears the Eichhorn Solingen trademark depicting a squirrel holding a sword, with the word Original above the figure. The aluminum fittings have a pleasant matte finish, with matte golden anodized gilding on the rolling swastika motifs (Sonnenrad), free from losses or deformation and showing only light signs of use. The leather of the grip and scabbard is very well preserved, with no damage or drying; the aluminum wire wrap of the grip is fully intact. The scabbard fittings and suspension chain are made of aluminum. Overall, the dagger is preserved in outstanding condition.
