SS Leather Belt Strap, 1939
SS leather combat belt strap dated 1939. The outer side of the leather is finished in black, while the reverse shows a characteristic pink tone. Three dark spots are present on the reverse, caused by storage conditions and likely due to improper long-term storage.
The strap is fitted with a hook painted in aluminum color, identical to the finish used on early SS aluminum belt buckles. Such belt straps could also be worn by other German formations and services, including Bahnshutz or Postschutz, as well as various organizations whose buckles were finished in an aluminum-colored appearance.
Length 90 cm. Mint condition, with no damage and no signs of wear.
