Short parade Faschinenmesser issued to members of the fire brigades and fire police of the Third Reich. Produced by Eickhorn of Solingen, featuring the squirrel with sword logo on the ricasso. The blade is very well preserved, the scabbard retains its lacquer finish with minor spider-webbing. The grip is made of heavy nickel-plated metal on both sides, fitted with intact black ebonite grip plates. A leather washer sits between blade and hilt to cushion contact with the scabbard. Overall in excellent condition.
